Bhubaneswar: Stage is all set for the biggest ever assembly of Odissi dancers from across the globe at the forthcoming International Odissi Festival beginning here tomorrow.

The eight-day event will start with a mega dance show by 555 performers together on a single platform tomorrow in an effort to find a place in the Guiness World Record.

Odissi dancers from India and abroad would perform during the grand festival organised by Odisha`s tourism and culture department in association with Odissi Research Centre (ORC) and US-based Indian performing Arts Promotion (IPAP), Ramahari Das of ORC said.

A huge podium has been prepared at the sprawling Kalinga Stadium in the state capital for 555 Odissi dancers to perform, Das said.

Authorities of the Guiness World Records are slated to be present at the venue.

Besides Kalinga Stadium, programmes would be presented at Rabindra Mandap, Utkal Mandap and Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya during the festival.
