Puri: Devotees and tourists who throng the Lord Jagannath Temple in Puri will now be able to get Abadha or the ‘Mahaprasad’ at uniform rates as a consensus on finalization of a rate chart was reached at a high-level meeting between the Suara-Mahasuara Nijog and chief administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) held today.

Informing in this regard, Secretary of Suar Mahasuar Nijog, Krushna Chandra Samantray today informed that the rates of Mahaprasad have been finalised and after approval from the Temple Managing Committee, the chart of rates will be fixed for the information of the devotees at the 12th century shrine.

Although, Samantaray did not mention the exact date of implementation of the new rates, but he said that it would be executed very soon.

On the other hand, a Temple Managing Committee meeting under the chairmanship of Puri Gajapati Dibyasingha Deb will be held today afternoon.

Sources said the recommendations on reform measures for Ananda Bazaar and Mahaprasad rates and other crucial issues are likely to be tabled during the meeting.
