Bolangir: Despite modernisation, superstition is still prevalent in many parts of Odisha. In one such case, relatives of a dead man sought the help of a sorcerer to bring him back to life inside a hospital at Titlagarh in Bolangir district.

As per reports, one Pinkuraj Nag of Silinda village, was bitten by a poisonous snake while working in his farmland on Sunday following which some people rescued him and admitted him to a hospital.
Later, after preliminary treatment, he was shifted to Titlagarh hospital where he succumbed during treatment.

Despite being declared dead by the doctors, the family members of the deceased sought the help of a sorcerer, who was seen chanting mantras and performing black magic in an attempt to resurrect the dead man.

When asked, the Sub Divisional Medical Officer(SDMO) could not give reason on why the sorcerer was allowed to enter the hospital and perform black magic.
