Six killed in separate road accidents in Odisha

Mayurbhanj/Balasore: As many as six persons lost their lives in separate road accidents in Balasore and Baripada today. Five persons were killed in a series of road accidents near Dahikoti chhak in Baripada of Mayurbhanj district.

According to sources, five persons riding bikes were killed and another suffered critical injuries in the accidents. While the identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained, the injured was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

Police have reached the spot and started an investigation into the accident.

In another mishap, one killed and four others sustained critical injuries after the SUV they were travelling in was hit by another vehicle near Salabani on National Highway-16 in Balasore. Following the mishap the injured were immediately rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).
