 A giant six-foot-long python was caught in the Colony Road area under the Hinjilicut block in the Ganjam district on Friday.

According to reports, the reptile was spotted in front of a house, belonging to Yudhishthira Dalei. Initially unnoticed due to the dark, the massive snake was discovered after a group of dogs barked furiously, drawing the attention of Yudhishthir.

Alerted by the noise, Yudhishthir stepped out and was stunned to see the huge reptile in front of his house. Without delay, he contacted members of the Snake Helpline for assistance.

After receiving the call, the snake reptile reached the spot immediately and took swift action. With caution and expertise, they safely captured the python, ensuring no harm to either the snake or the residents.

After a few minutes, they successfully captured the python and released it into a forest area, away from human habitation.
