Former BJD leader Shreemayee Mishra has once again launched a sharp attack on the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) — this time without directly naming the party.
Just ahead of the Nuapada bypoll results, Shreemayee took to social media to criticise what she described as the ‘copy-paste politics’ of BJD leaders, alleging that they were following a pre-written script.
In her post, Shreemayee wrote that a ‘new trend’ has emerged, where several political leaders are repeating the same line — ‘the election was not free and fair’. She remarked, “For the past two days, everyone has been reading from the same script. I want to know where this script came from, who wrote it first, and who the real mastermind is.”

Taking an indirect jibe at the BJD, she added that certain leaders were ‘singing like trained parrots’, forgetting their individuality and simply echoing what others were saying. Calling them a ‘copy-paste gang,’ Shreemayee mocked their coordinated reactions, claiming the public was fully aware of what was happening.
Concluding her post with the phrase ‘Public sab jaanta hai’ (the public knows everything), Shreemayee underscored her criticism of the BJD’s communication strategy following the bypoll.
As of now, the BJD has not issued any official response to Shreemayee Mishra’s comments, though her remarks have generated significant discussion in political circles ahead of the poll outcome.
