Sexual Harassment Allegation Against School Headmaster In Odisha Is Baseless: Minister

Balasore: Odisha School and Mass Education Minister, Samir Das today informed that the sexual harassment allegation by a lady Sanskrit teacher of Krushnabhanu High School against head master of the same school in Baliapal under Balasore district, is baseless and fabricated.

Das said, “As per the enquiry report, the allegations of sexual harassment brought by the lady Sanskrit teacher against the headmaster (Ratikanta Jena) of the school were false and fabricated."

The charges levied against the headmaster is reported to have been a result of past enmity between the duo. The assistant headmaster of the school was also involved in the unhealthy rivalry in the school that ultimately got murkier.

“Headmaster Jena, the lady teacher and the assistant headmaster Sudhanshu Sekhar Jena, all have been transferred to different schools in the very interest of the school and the students,” added Das.

However, the lady teacher refuted the claims of the minister following an enquiry by a committee and said, “It’s a conspiracy to suppress the matter. I will fight until I get justice.”
