Bhubaneswar: The eight Thai women, detained by Commissionerate Police for operating a high-profile sex racket in a Spa centre in Bhubaneswar on May 20, left Odisha today after being served a notice to "quit India" by this evening.

The notice was issued as the women, by getting engaged in flesh trade, had violated the Visa rules. While some of them had tourist Visa, a few had business Visa.

The move is a warning for those operating similar illegal activities in the state, said police.

Earlier on May 20, the Commissionerate Police had nabbed the women and seven others following a raid at a Spa centre located in Bapuji Nagar area.

In November last year, three women from Thailand were detained for operating a sex racket from another Spa centre in Bhubaneswar.
