Bhubaneswar: Seven persons were killed and 36 injured in two separate road accidents in the state on Thursday, the police said.
 
Five persons, including a woman, died and 36 sustained injuries when a bus in which they were travelling overturned near Bodoolma under Dabugam police station in Nabarangpur district.
 
The Chhattisgarh-bound overcrowded private bus was going from Dabugaom via Junapani when the accident occurred, they said.
 
In the second mishap, two persons were killed in an accident near Banadungri under Bahalda police station, about 125 km from here, when a pickup van ferrying diesel collided head on with a bike.
 
The bike rider and the pillion rider of the vehicle were killed on the spot, police said.
 
The deceased were identified as Umakanta Mohanta(28) of village Mahuldiha in Mayurbhanj and Syed Hussain Ali (29) of village Kanpur of Cuttack district.
