Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police has arrested seven persons for vandalizing Congress Bhawan in Bhubaneswar three days ago.

Based on footage obtained from CCTV cameras set up inside the party headquarters office, special teams of police nabbed the perpetrators after raids at several places in the city and outskirts.

According to police sources, cases have been registered against the accused.

While all the seven arrested have been forwarded to court, police informed that other accused involved in the matter will also be nabbed soon.

On March 23, supporters of Amir Mohammed allegedly ransacked property at Congress Bhawan opposing the party’s decision to field Rashmi Mohapatra from Ekamra-Bhubaneswar. They entered the party office and damaged computers and furniture.
