Sambalpur: Coming down heavily on the Odisha Government, Bhubaneswar MP and BJP leader Aparajita Sarangi yet again targeted 5T Secretary VK Pandian and accused him of reducing the powers of the Ministers and their respective Secretaries.

During her visit to Sambalpur, Aparajita said, "Officers senior to 5T Secretary are accompanying him during his official visits. In my 25 years of service career, 20 years in Odisha and 5 years in Delhi, I have never seen this kind of administration. A senior officer never accompanies a junior. It's an anomaly."

"There is a proper way to bring reforms in the department. One should provide ample time to the doctors and other employees before sacking them on the spot," added the Parliamentarian.

Criticising the Odisha Government, Aparajita further said, "5T is not an innovative concept. It's an inclusive process & it should not be limited to only one or two departments. It should be implemented in all the departments."

"Moreover, a power corridor is deliberately being created through this 5T in Odisha, which is ultimately degrading the powers of the ministers and the concerned secretaries," vented Aparajita.

However, responding to the criticism, BJD MP Sasmit Patra said, "It seems Aparajita Sarangi has developed an identity crisis. She is speaking against 5T and Mo Sarkar out of jealousy. Very soon, BJP-ruled states and even Centre will start implementing 5T."
