Cuttack: Elaborate security arrangements have been made at Dhabaleswar Temple in Athagarh block of Cuttack district for the 'Bada Osa' celebrations tomorrow.

The preparations for 'Gaja Bhoga' which will be offered to Lord Dhabaleswar on the occasion of Bada Osa are in full swing. As per tradition, the bhoga will be offered to the lord in the midnight while the prasad will be subsequently distributed among the devotees on Thursday.

The Cuttack district administration has made elaborate security arrangements for ensuring the hassle-free darshan by devotees on the occasion of Bada Osa. CCTV cameras have been installed at strategic locations in and around the temple premises. At least 25 platoons of forces have also been deployed to maintain law and order as well as crowd management.

The sanctum sanctorum of the temple was opened at 3 am today following which 'mangala alati' was conducted and 'khichdi' was offered to the presiding deity. Later, the devotees were allowed to inside the temple for darshan on Panchuka.

On the other hand, thousands of Habishyalis and devotees also along thronged Puri Srimandir to have the glimpse of 'Bankachuda Besha' of Lord Jagannath on the second day of Panchuka today. Barricades have been installed by the Puri district administration to ensure smooth darshan of the deities at the 12th century shrine.
