Second Patha Utsav held in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: ‘Patha Utsav’ was celebrated in Janpath area of Bhubaneswar today as hundreds of residents including hockey players were seen on the streets of the State capital.

Apart from practicing hockey on the streets, female hockey players also displayed their dancing skills at the Utsav. Both sides of the road from Master Canteen to Rupali Chawk was abuzz with sports and entertainment activities.

The event was inaugurated by Culture and Tourism Minister Ashok Panda, BMC Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation Mayor, Ananta Narayan Jena, Bhubaneswar North MLA Priyadarshi Mishra along with other officials.

“Despite cold weather, a lot of people attended the Patha Utsav. During the last Sunday, many people were not aware of the event. However, this time a lot of people attended it. The people who love their city have come to attend the event,” Minister Ashok Panda said.

Speaking about Patha Utsav event, Bhubaneswar mayor Ananta Jena said, “We will regularly organise the Patha Utsav event after the completion of the ongoing beautification work in the city.”

“This event should be regularly organised as it is fun to be part of Patha Utsav. We are really having a good time at the event,” said a local visitor at the event.
