Bhubaneswar: Railways have decided to introduce a tri-weekly Duronto Express between Sealdah and Puri from tomorrow, official sources said. The train will run as a special train from Sealdah to Puri. However, the regular service of this train will begin on February 14 from Puri and from February 15 from Sealdah as per scheduled timings.

22202 Puri-Sealdah Duronto tri-weekly Express will leave Puri on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 7.50 pm and will arrive at Sealdah at 4 am on the next day?s. In the return direction, 22201 Sealdah-Puri tri-weekly Duronto Express will leave Sealdah on every Monday, Wednesday and Fridays at 8 pm and will arrive at Puri at 4 am on the next day.

This train will have One AC-2 tier, four AC-3 tiers, seven Sleeper Classes and two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition having no commercial stoppage en-route. Meanwhile, with an aim to provide more passenger amenities to train commuters and in order to make it convenient for passengers, Railways have decided to provide additional stoppages of Puri-New Delhi-Puri Nandankanan Express at Jaleswar with effect from February 15 on an experimental basis for a period of six months.

Puri-New Delhi Nandankanan Express will arrive at Jaleswar at 16.09hrs and will leave at 16.11hrs towards New Delhi. In the return direction, 12816 New Delhi-Puri Nandankanan Express will arrive Jaleswar at 07.21hrs and will leave at 07.23hrs towards Puri. The timings and stoppages for this train scheduled at different stations will remain unchanged. Similarly, it was decided to augment two additional Sleeper Class Coaches permanently in Howrah-Tiruchchirapalli -Howrah Express from Feb. 14. This train will run with 23 coaches instead of 21 coaches.
