Bhubaneswar:  Appalled by the recent gang rape of an intermediate girl here a week ago, the State Commission for Women (SCW) is contemplating to propose the state government to put a ban on use of tinted glasses on car windows. 

 The SCW’s move came after a plus-II girl was allegedly raped on last Friday inside a moving car which had tinted glasses. The victim had raised alarm for help, but in vain as it didn’t have see-through glasses.

In the meantime, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) youth wing members on Friday submitted a memorandum to the twin city police commissioner demanding proper probe into the incident.

On the other hand, SCW has expressed its willingness to investigate the matter in case complaint is lodged with it.
