School teacher thrashes girl students in Boudh

Boudh: Two Class 3 students of  Mahakudpali primary school under Harabhanga Block in Boudh district were allegedly thrashed by a lady teacher yesterday.

According to sources, after finding a hair in their mid-day meal, some Class 3 students had complained the school administration. As the children started to make a lot of noise, one of the primary teachers, Jasmin Koushal, allegedly thrashed two girl students.

"My daughter was crying in pain so I had to take her to the doctor. I seek action against the teacher so that she does not repeat such things," said, Bimala Mahananada, father of one of the students.

Responding to the incident, District Education Officer Karuna Kar assured that action will be taken against the lady teacher if found guilty.

" I learnt about the incident recently. A probe will be launched into the matter. Action will be taken based on the report," Kar said.
