Bhubaneswar: The Supreme Court collegium has recommended names of advocate Sanjeeb Kumar Panigrahi and judicial officer Bibhu Prasad Routray to be appointed as Orissa High Court Judges.

The names were finalised from a list of recommendees sent by the by the Chief Justice of the Orissa High Court on May 7 in consultation with his two senior-most colleagues.

The decision was made after taking note of the views expressed by each one of the members of the High Court collegium.

While Panigrahi’s name was recommended out of the list of eight advocates, Routray was chosen from the list four judicial officers “on the basis of interaction and having regard to all relevant factors.”
