Sambalpur: In a major turn of events in the mysterious death of Sambalpuri album actress, Simran, Burla Police today registered a murder case based on the complaint filed by the father of the deceased, informed Sambalpur SP Sanjeev Arora. Police had registered an unnatural death case after the mutilated body of Simran was found under Mahanadi River Bridge near Goira Matha in Sambalpur on January 4.

As per allegations, Simran was being tortured by her husband and in-laws. A case was also lodged in this connection in Jharsuguda Police Station, family members had alleged. Simran had tied the nuptial knot with Dhrubraj Suna, a youth from Belpada in Bolangir in April last year against the wish of her family members.

Based on the allegations, police had subsequently arrested Dhrubaraj Suna after registering a case against him against him under POCSO Act.

A voice message of Simran, which was reportedly her last, also went viral on social media. It is suspected that the actress had recorded the voice message barely some hours before her death. In the audio clip, the actress claimed that she was depressed and had decided to leave everyone.
