Koraput: A few days after three railway employees were killed after Samaleshwari Express train hit a tower car in Rayagada district, the train was halted in Jeypore today following some technical glitches.

As per reports, the train was heading towards Howrah from Jagdalpur, and was stopped between Kotpad and Kusumi area of Koraput district.

Later, Safety Commissioner reached the spot to take stock of the situation, sources said.

Meanwhile, an enquiry team headed by Commissioner of Railway Safety, Kolkata, Chief Safety Officer of East Coast Railway in Bhubaneswar and higher railway officials today visited Rayagada and started an investigation in connection with the mishap on June 25.

The higher officials are scheduled to interrogate the station managers and workers of Singapur Road Railway Station and Keutaguda Railway Station in connection with the mishap. They will also visit the accident site for investigation.
