Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav meets Naveen Patnaik in Bhubaneswar

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav met Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president Naveen Patnaik at the latter’s residence in Bhubaneswar on Friday.

Akhilesh described Naveen as a senior leader of the country, acknowledging the significant role played by him and his father in the development of Odisha.

Akhilesh further highlighted Naveen’s continuous presence in governance and his crucial contributions toward improving the lives of the people. He also mentioned that they are both fighting against the BJP.

"It was a courtesy visit. Naveen Patnaik is a senior leader. Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) has worked with Naveen's father. We are now fighting against the BJP. Naveen has been serving the people for years," said Akhilesh Yadav.

In response to the meeting, Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal stated that this kind of meeting is nothing new in politics.

"This kind of meeting is nothing new in politics. Let them meet. However, common people are trying to strengthen the BJP. People from all sections of society are interested in working for the  BJP. Common people have now started working with the commitment of developed Odisha and Viksit Bharat," said Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal.
