Bhubaneswar: Alleging the BJD of misusing government machinery for its vested interest, BJP on Thursday termed the ruling-BJD as a corrupt government in Odisha and announced that the saffron party will gherao all the 314 block offices across the State as part of their block-level agitation starting day after on October 27.
Addressing a presser at the party headquarters in Bhubaneswar, BJP state general secretary Bhrugu Baxipatra informed, “BJP will gherao all the 314 block offices across Odisha from October 27 to October 30.”
Baxipatra also alleged that BJD is misusing the block offices as its own party office and held the ruling party responsible for the Central schemes failing to reach the people of Odisha.
“The BJD is neck-deep in corruption and has destroyed the democracy in the State. It’s because of the ruling party’s inefficiency that the people of Odisha are deprived of facilities under various centre-sponsored schemes,” rued Baxipatra.
The BJP also alleged that the beneficiaries of various schemes and programmes are being selected under the influence of BJD leaders while the common masses have become victims of rampant ‘PC’ culture in the State.
