Bhubaneswar: Unidentified gunmen on Tuesday allegedly looted Rs 19.44 lakh cash from two employees of Large sized Agriculture and Multipurpose Cooperative Societies (LAMPS) at gun point near Fasimal of Sambalpur district.

Sources said, two bike-borne miscreants caught hold of the employees of Fasimal LAMP, who were travelling in a Maruti van towards Central Cooperative

Bank, on gun point and snatched the bag containing cash.

Before the employees could understand anything, the goons had fled the spot.

Police are investigating the matter.

Earlier, about two months back, a gang of masked miscreants had looted Rs 1.15 lakh from Utkala Grameen Bank branch at Bhojpur in Sambalpur district.
