Bhubaneswar: A team of Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel rescued an eight-year-old boy from Howrah-Chennai Mail on Sunday.

According to sources, head constable SK Das and constables KC Pradhan & D Nath of RPF, noticed the minor boy sitting near wash basin of coach S-4, when they were on escorting duty today morning. The RPF personnel, then rescued the minor boy and took him to Khurda station manager's office after the train arrived at the station.

Later, the minor boy disclosed his address and claimed that he was a resident of Jaleswar area of Balasore district. He also informed that he ran away from his home as he didn't want to go to school. Later, the boy was handed over to the members of SOCH (Society for Children).
