Rourkela plane crash: Damaged aircraft parts brought to Bhubaneswar for technical probe

Damaged parts of the aircraft involved in the Rourkela plane incident have been transported to Bhubaneswar for detailed technical investigation, officials said on Wednesday.

The aircraft wreckage was brought in two trucks and reached Bhubaneswar Airport late Tuesday night. The flight, which was bound for Rourkela, had departed at around 10 pm with four passengers on board when it reportedly developed a technical fault, forcing the pilot to make a precautionary landing.

Evidence Being Preserved

The transportation of the damaged aircraft parts is being carried out with caution to ensure that critical technical evidence remains intact. Officials said the components will now undergo a detailed examination to ascertain the exact cause of the malfunction and assess the extent of the damage.

A driver involved in transporting the aircraft parts said they reached Bhubaneswar after 11 pm and were coordinating the movement of the wreckage to the airport premises, with another vehicle following behind.

Investigation Underway

Investigators are working to reconstruct the sequence of events that led to the forced landing and damage to the aircraft. Authorities have said that further details will be shared only after the completion of the technical analysis.

Officials emphasised that careful handling of the wreckage is crucial to prevent any loss of evidence that may be vital to determining the cause of the incident.
