Rourkela: BJP state executive member and Rourkela municipal councillor Pramila Das was arrested on charges of causing miscarriage of a rape victim here, police said today. Pramila along with rape accused Binod Yadav`s wife Pushpanjali were allegedly involved in causing abortion of the 20-year-old victim.

She has been remanded to jail custody by a local court after the arrest last evening, police said. The victim was working as a domestic help in the house of Binod residing in the railway colony here. The main accused Pushpanjali has been absconding and steps are on to nab her, police said.
