Rourkela charter plane crash: IndiaOne Air announces job, financial aid for family of deceased

The aircraft involved in the crash will be lifted within the next two to three days. Following recovery, it will be transported to Bhubaneswar for further technical examination as part of the investigation process.

In a significant development, the investigation report into the Rourkela charter aircraft crash will be submitted within one month, according to IndiaOne Air. The crash claimed the life of one passenger, triggering concern and prompting swift action from the airline.

IndiaOne Air has announced relief measures for the family of the deceased passenger. One member of the family will be provided employment with IndiaOne Air. In addition, the airline will bear all expenses of the family for the next five months, offering financial support during this difficult period.

The information was shared by the Chief Executive Officer of IndiaOne Air, who assured that all necessary steps are being taken to complete the investigation and extend support to the affected family.

“First and foremost, we are standing firmly with the family. After such a tragic incident, while five passengers are completely safe, Biswas was in a critical condition due to pre-existing health issues. He was provided with the best possible medical treatment. The Odisha Government and the Chief Minister extended full support and assistance to us during this time. We are now supporting the family members, the insurance process will begin shortly, and we have assured them that the company will take care of the household expenses,” said Prem Kumar Garg, CEO, IndiaOne Air.

The deceased passenger named Sushant Biswal who was critically injured in the incident, had died on January 17 while undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

He was among the passengers seriously hurt in the accident that took place near Jalda on January 10. Biswal had been battling for life since the crash but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

The tragic incident occured on January 10 which included The aircraft mishap left six people injured, including two pilots.

The aircraft involved was a nine-seater plane travelling from Bhubaneswar to Rourkela. Initial reports indicate that the crash occurred after the aircraft had flown approximately 10 kilometres before going down near Jalda A Block in the Raghunathpali area.
