A tragic development has emerged from the Rourkela plane crash, as Sushant Biswal, who was critically injured in the incident, has died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital on Saturday. He was among the passengers seriously hurt in the accident that took place near Jalda on January 10. Biswal had been battling for life since the crash but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

The aircraft mishap left six people injured, including two pilots. Following the crash, all the injured were rescued from the site and rushed to a nearby hospital for immediate medical attention. Biswal was reported to be in a critical condition from the outset.

Earlier, on January 11, two of the injured passengers were airlifted from Rourkela to Mumbai for advanced medical treatment, highlighting the severity of injuries sustained in the accident.

Aircraft Details and Crash Circumstances

According to the Transport Minister, the aircraft involved was a nine-seater plane travelling from Bhubaneswar to Rourkela. Initial reports indicate that the crash occurred after the aircraft had flown approximately 10 kilometres before going down near Jalda A Block in the Raghunathpali area.

The incident cast a pall of gloom over Rourkela and the surrounding region. As authorities continue to assess the circumstances leading to the crash, the loss of a life underscores the seriousness of the accident and the risks involved.
