RI exam in Odisha: Server downtime causes chaos, students made to wait for hours Photograph: (OTV)
The Revenue Inspector (RI) exam on Thursday witnessed significant disruptions, leaving students frustrated and anxious at multiple centers across Odisha.
Technical glitches, primarily server downtime, reportedly delayed entry for candidates at exam centers in Bhubaneswar's Mancheswar, Chandrasekharpur, Patia, Nayapalli, and several other locations.
While students are advised to reach the exam centres on time, the unwanted technical glitches only raised concerns about backup systems and contingency plans to avoid disruption in future examinations.

Students who arrived well before the scheduled 7:30 am entry time were unable to enter the examination halls on time. Many had to wait for more than an hour, finally being allowed inside only by 8:45 am, causing anxiety and unease among examinees.
Reports suggest that similar issues were observed at centers in Berhampur and Kakatpur.
Candidates expressed their disappointment, saying that arriving early and following all protocols should not have resulted in such delays. Irate students demanded that proper measures be taken to ensure no disadvantage to them due to technical failures.
“We reached the center on time and completed all verification formalities, but technical failures meant we started much later than scheduled. This affected our preparation and focus,” said one student at Mancheswar.
No comments could be obtained from officials concerned in this connection.
