Cuttack: A sophisticated revolver, five rounds of live bullets and over 100 gms of gunpowder were recovered from a mobile recharge voucher shop in Sikharpur area here which had witnessed bomb blasts last week.

Police lay their hands on the arms when they took the shop owner Kartik Behera to the shop for an on the spot enquiry on Sunday after Behera surrendered before the police on Saturday night, police said. Behera, who was absconding after last Monday`s blast inside the shop, had surrendered before the Malgodown police. The nearby Chauliganj police had taken him on remand.

At least seven persons were injured in last week`s blast near the shop when some crude bombs exploded. It was believed that Kartik was engaged in preparing the bombs and some of them went off at manufacturing stage, sources said.
