Bhubaneswar: In a major relief to people in the cyclone Fani-hit districts, Reliance Jio has fully restored telecom services in Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Gajapati.

As per an official release, the company has restored 92 % of all its network sites in Odisha.

In the worst affected Puri district where extensive damage has been caused to the telecom infrastructure, the company is carrying out restoration of the network. Eight Cells on Wheels (Cows) have been installed at key locations in Puri including near Collectorate office, railway station, Medical square on Grand Road to restore quick mobile network in the city.

“As the fastest growing mobile service provider in the State with widest network availability, Jio is working closely with the State government and district administrations to expedite restoration of communication network in the quickest possible time post cyclone Fani,” the company said in a statement.
