Puri: As the sibling deities of Puri Srimandir, Lord Balabhadra, Jagannath and Devi Subhadra are undergoing treatment at the secret 'Anasara ghara' chamber, the Raj Baidyas will today offer a special herbal medicine known as 'Dasamula Modaka' to the deities following instructions from Puri Gajapati Maharaj.

It is believed that the Holy Trinity will recover from illness after the herbal medicine is offered.
Earlier on the fifth day of Anasara period (Anasara Panchami), ‘Phuluri’ or scented medicinal oil was applied to the deities following which ritualistic ‘Osua Lagi’ was performed from the day of Sasthi till Navami.

On Dashmi, the Chaka Bije Niti of the deities were performed by the physicians of Srimandir yesterday.

Besides, a paste of sandalwood, saffron and camphor will be applied to the four idols as part of ‘anasara’ Ekadasi rituals today.

"The Gods will be dressed in 'Rakta Bastra' after Madhyana Dhupa and sandalwood paste will be applied on the idols after Sandhya Dhupa. Later, the 'Dasamula Modaka' will be offered to the Lords after which the divine siblings will completely recover from fever," informed senior servitor of Srimandir Binayak Mohaptra.

"After the Bhoga Mandap rituals are over tomorrow, we will go to the Gajapati to inform him about the complete recovery of Mahaprabhu and his siblings," Mohapatra added.

On the other hand, the construction work of three chariots of Lord Balabhadra, Jagannath and goddess Subhadra has reached the final stages in Puri.
