Puri: The holy communion of the Lords and devotees on Puri Badadanda on the occasion of Sri Gundicha Yatra came to a grand conclusion as Nandighosa, the chariot of Lord Jagannath joined Taladhwaja and Darpadalana chariots at the Gundicha Temple.

The grand spectacle of the annual sojourn of the Holy Trinity was witnessed by lakhs of people from across the globe. All the rituals of the deities were conducted smoothly at the 12th century shrine today due to which pulling of chariots began much ahead of the scheduled time.

Earlier today, amid loud chants of Jai Jagannath, the pulling of Nandighosa, the chariot of Mahaprabhu Jagannath had begun on Badadanda in Puri.

Before that, pulling of Darpadalana, the chariot of Devi Subhadra kicked off on the Grand Road.


Firstly Taladhwaja, the chariot of Lord Balabhadra rolled on the Badadanda as lakhs of devotees pulled the chariot towards the Mausi Maa Temple.

Puri Gajapati Dibyasingha Deb, the royal servitor of Lord Jagannath, performed the Chhera Panhara of the Trinity- Lord Balabhadra, Lord Jagannath & Devi Subhadra on their respective chariots.

The Shankaracharya of the Govardhan Mutt paid his tributes to the deities prior to the Chhera Panhara rituals.
