Bhubaneswar: Clouds of danger seem to be looming large over Air Odisha chief, Santosh Pani as police have started investigation into the rape charges brought against him by a former employee.

According to sources, police raided the Air Odisha office and seized some documents. Moreover, police also went to the rented accommodation, where according to the complainant, the crime took place.

The statements of the complainant have also been recorded under sections 161 and 164 of CrPC in court, informed sources.

The complainant, a former employee of Air Odisha had alleged that Pani raped her after intoxicating her with sedative-laced beverages. She had registered an FIR in Khandagiri police station after which an investigation was launched.

Meanwhile police is also investigating why the woman reported the case after a month of the incident which allegedly happened on August 10 and 11.

Police is also analyzing the phone call records of both Pani and the complainant.
