Bhubaneswar: In a major decision, the authorities of Rama Devi Women’s University today decided to relocate the junior college which has been functioning from the varsity campus.

Informing about the development after a high-level meeting held at Loka Seva Bhawan (Odisha Secretariat), Padmaja Mishra, the vice-chancellor of Rama Devi Women’s University informed that, ‘The Junior College will be shifted to Unit IX Girls High School premises in Bhubaneswar.”

Mishra further stated that a higher secondary school will be established inside the Girls’ High School premises and already three acre land has been identified.

“The Junior College (Higher Secondary School) will be shifted to Unit IX Girls High School and already the survey work for the construction of building has been completed. I think that entire process for shifting will take another three years,” said Mishra.

However, no decision was taken on the proposed second campus of Rama Devi Women’s University today.

Welcoming the decision, students stated that, ‘We hope that the State government should ensure that such decision doesn’t remain in pen and paper only.”
