In a move aimed at enhancing rail connectivity and meeting increasing passenger demand, the Ministry of Railways has approved the proposal to increase the frequency of Train No. 19021/19022 Udhna–Brahmapur–Udhna Amrit Bharat Express from weekly to tri-weekly.

As per an official communication issued by the Railway Board on November 11, 2025, the Udhna–Brahmapur Amrit Bharat Express (Train No. 19021) will now operate three days a week on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays instead of only on Sundays. 

Similarly, the return service, Brahmapur–Udhna Amrit Bharat Express (Train No. 19022), will run on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays in place of its existing single-day operation on Mondays.

What Railway Board Says:

The Railway Board has directed zonal railways, including Western Railway, Central Railway, South East Central Railway, and East Coast Railway, to implement the revised schedule from an early convenient date.

Officials said the move is expected to provide greater flexibility and convenience to passengers traveling between Gujarat and Odisha.

The Amrit Bharat Express, known for improved passenger amenities, has witnessed consistent demand since its introduction. The Railway Board has asked concerned departments to ensure timely compliance and take necessary operational measures for the tri-weekly service rollout.
