Narla: After disruption in Assembly over the Railways’ decision to shift the proposed wagon repair factory from Narla in Kalahandi to Visakhapatnam, members of the Narla Congress committee launched a Rail Roko agitation today to protest the Railways' decision.

Members of the committee stopped the Koraput-Rourkela passenger train along with Tapaswini Express. They did not allow other trains passing through this route either.

Yesterday, members of the assembly arrived at a consensus to bring the issue to the notice of the Railway minister by submitting a memorandum on the same.

It was decided that the House committee will submit the memorandum to Railway minister after the issue was taken up for discussion through a motion moved by the chief whip of the ruling party.
