New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Eminent Stone Sculptor of Odisha, Raghunath Mohapatra on Friday received the second highest civilian award Padma Vibhushan from the President of India Pranab Mukherjee.

Raghunath, who designed and crafted several temples, interiors of star class hotels and produced thousands of students, had received Padmashri in 1976 and Padma Bhushan in 2001.

Total of 54 personalities were awarded in the first phase of Padma awards on Friday.

Mohapatra’s name was announced on the eve of the Republic Day.
