Quadruplets Born To Odisha Woman Die After Birth

Sonepur: A woman at Jhinki village in Sonepur district delivered quadruplets today, but the newborns died as soon as they were born due to premature birth, sources said.

As per reports, the woman Minati Munda experienced labour pain and gave birth to twins at her house. Later, she delivered another child on the way and the fourth one at the hospital.

Minati was accompanied to the hospital by an ASHA worker.

“The woman was six months pregnant and she gave birth to twins at home. The babies were below 500 grams and underdeveloped,” said Dr PK Dandasena.

Though the condition of the woman is said to be stable, she is still undergoing treatment at the hospital.
