Bhubaneswar: The Orissa High Court on Monday directed the State government to submit its final probe report on Plus II question paper leak case within three weeks.

"Though the Odisha government today submitted a status report, the High Court showed its displeasure and asked the State government for a final report within three weeks," said Nishikant Mishra, a lawyer.

Notably, in March, Mishra had written a letter to Odisha Chief Justice C Nagappan urging him to order a CBI inquiry into the whole episode of question paper leak incident. The court treating the letter as a PIL had asked the State government to investigate the matter.

In today’s status report, the Odisha government has mentioned about Crime Branch (CB) probe and the arrest of a few senior officials of Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) and functionaries of private colleges.

When asked by the court we gave instances of delay in probe into Matric question paper leak case in 2012 and asked about details about the Crime Branch investigation against a private college in 2010, Mishra added.
