President’s police medal announced

Bhubaneswar: President’s police medal for 2015 was announced on the eve of Republic Day today.
For distinguished service, the medal will be given to Motor Transport SP Khageshwar Gowda and Vigilance DSP Tarak Prasad Sadangi.

Similarly, for meritorious service, the police medal will be awarded to Railway IG Mahendra Pratap, DIG Dayal Gangwar, SP Signal Baikunthanath Das, Nuapada SDPO Shantanu Das, Bhubaneswar Security Wing’s Assistant Commandant Saroj Kumar, Cuttack Police Motor Transport SI Saroj Kant Barik, Havildar Basant Kumar Gochayat, Havildar Kamalakant Mohapatra, Havildar Jagabandhu Sahu, Constable Basant Kumar Barik and Sephoy Upendra Kumar Balabantray.

However, no one from Odisha was chosen for President’s medal for gallantry and police medal for gallantry.
