New Delhi: President of India Pranab Mukherjee on Friday stressed on e-education learning system to make education more accessible among the students.
 
Addressing students of Central University of Orissa, from Rashtrapati Bhavan through video conferencing on the Fourth Foundation Day, Mukherjee said many bright students were prevented by geographic location or economic difficulty from seeking higher education.
 
“Our universities must use technology solutions like e-education to address the problems of accessibility, quality, affordability and faculty shortage. Accessibility and affordability will result in greater inclusion. It will improve the enrolment rate and enhance the quality of graduates produced.”
 
This is for the first time that video conferencing facility newly set up in Rashtrapati Bhavan has been used by the President to address students of a Central University.
