Bhubaneswar: Officials of Power Finance Corporation have today proposed sites for the set up of two ultra mega power plants in the state with a capacity of 4000MW each. In a meeting with chief secretary BK Patnaik, the officials proposed one site near Dhamra in Bhadrak district while the other in Bolangir or Kalahandi district.
 
Of the proposed three power plants in the state by Govt of India, site for one has already been finalised which would be set up in Sundergarh, while sites for the remaining two are yet to be finalised. Proposals are there that one plant would be set up in a costal district and the other in interior region.
