Police to take Bhola on five-day remand starting today

Cuttack: Commissionerate Police will take Bhola Bhagat, a key associate of the arrested Dhalasamant brothers, on a five-day remand from today.

On Monday, the Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) court here had allowed the Commissionerate of Police to take Bhola Bhagat on a five-day remand for further questioning.

Following the hearing Bhagat was sent to the Choudwar Circle Jail. He was arrested from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh and brought to Cuttack yesterday.

Earlier, a car allegedly used in the murders of Om and Dipu was seized during a raid at Bhagat’s residence. Besides, Bhagat also allegedly fixed tenders for Ramky along with the D-brothers and extorted money from traders.
