Keonjhar: During a joint operation on Sunday police and security personnel raided a Maoist camp and recovered a huge cache of explosives at Liping under Daitari police limits here.

Acting on tip off, Keonjhar police and CRPF personnel raided the camp and recovered 42 commercial detonators with lead, 30 commercial detonators without lead, three country made bombs, six explosive sticks, wire of 20meters, codex wire of 75 meters, a pressure device, a big battery, a global positioning system device, a radio, medicine, Maoist literature and posters.

The security personnel also diffused a land mine laid in the area by the ultras.

However, the rebels managed to flee the camp.

Meanwhile, police and CRPF personnel have intensified their anti-Maoist operations in the wake of the increasing Maoist activities in the area.
