Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is scheduled to arrive in Odisha today to attend the 99th Indian Science Congress on January 3, official sources said.

Besides attending the ISC meet being organised jointly by NISER, Bhubaneswar and KIIT University, Singh is also likely to visit the state Congress headquarters on Tuesday before leaving for New Delhi, the official said.
About 15,000 eminent personalities from the science fraternity are expected to attend the Congress held here on the focal theme of `Science and Technology for Inclusive Innovation-Role of Women`.
The proposed visit of the Prime Minister to Congress Bhavan here, the second Prime Minister after Indira Gandhi to visit the state party headquarters, have triggered new enthusism among party workers, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) President Niranjan Patnaik said.
