Sundergarh: With the Maoists observing the PLGA (Peoples Liberation Guerrilla Army) week, fresh posters and an audio tape were allegedly released by the red rebels in two different places of the State today.

According to reports, posters were issued in the name of Gumma area Committee of CPI (Maoist) at many places in Panasput and Gajal Mamudi panchayats under Chitrakonda block of Malkangiri district.

The ultras through the posters opposed the alleged police excesses on tribals under the guise of anti-Maoist operations and called upon the youths to join the outlawed organisation.

The red rebels also threatened the authorities to stay away from conducting upcoming elections in the district and appealed the masses to protest the anti-naxal people’s force, an anti-Maoist outfit.

On the other hand, Bolangir-Bargarh-Mahasamund division of the CPI (Maoist) through an audio tape extended their support to the ongoing agitation for setting up of permanent bench of the Orissa High Court in western Odisha and alleged that the state government has turned blind eye towards the massive farmers and employment issues in Odisha.

“We extend support to the agitation by the lawyers demanding HC bench in western Odisha. We also appeal people to observe PLGA week from December 2 to 8 and join us to strengthen the outfit,” urged Secretary of Bolangir-Bargarh-Mahasamund division of Maoists, Basant Kumar through the audio tape.

Earlier on Wednesday, Gumma area committee of CPI(Maoist) had put up posters at Hanumal village near Koraput-Malkangiri border asking people to observe the PLGA week.
