Cuttack: Another patient succumbed to dengue today while undergoing treatment at the SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack.

The deceased has been identified as Biranchi Mahana, a resident of Nuapatana village under Narshinghpur police limits of Cuttack.

According to reports, Mahana was brought to SCB for treatment after being diagnosed with dengue. Later after his condition worsened he was shifted from the special dengue ward to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). But he breathed his last today morning.

Following today's incident, the total number of dengue deaths in Odisha has gone up to six.

Earlier in September, an under-trial prisoner from Rayagada district and another person from Kujanga in Jagatsinghpur had succumbed to the disease.
