Bhubaneswar/Patkura: With barely four days to go for the end of campaign for Patkura polls, BJD, BJP and Congress are leaving no stone unturned to woo voters.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan joined the campaign trail today and held road shows along with door-to-door campaign for BJP candidate Bijoy Mohapatra. In Garadpur block alone, both Pradhan and Mohapatra held 18 marathon road shows during the campaigning today.

“If ministers come to Patkura as tourists, will the people vote for them? People here have already decided that they want a change in Patkura,” said Mohapatra

“Views of women, youth and elders show that BJP will win from Patkura Assembly constituency,” said a confident Pradhan.

Seeking votes for BJD candidate Sabitri Agarwalla, Odisha Minister Arun Sahoo and party MLAs held door-to-door campaigns, meetings and road shows in the Assembly constituency.

“To fulfil the dreams of my late husband Bed Prakash Agarawlla and work for the people of Patkura, I ask the people here to vote for the BJD,” said Agarwalla.

As CM Naveen Patnaik has himself assured that he will directly take care of Kendrapara, people will definitely be with him, said the Higher Education Minister emphatically.

On the other hand, Congress also jumped into the poll campaign after the Bahuda Yatra. Congress MP Saptagiri Ulaka and MLA Santosh Singh Saluja hit the campaign trail today and sought votes for party candidate Jayant Mohanty.

“We contest elections only to win. However, it depends on the voters whom they give the mandate,” said Mohanty.
OPCC chief Niranjan Patnaik said, “There is no difference between BJD and BJP as they are one now. Because of the confusion created among voters due to this, Congress will get the benefit.”

The Patkura polls will be held on July 20, while the campaign for the Patkura poll will end on July 18.
