Bhubaneswar: Over 60 thatched houses, mostly belonging to sex workers, were today gutted in a major fire at Malisahi area here, police said. There was, however, no loss of life, though property worth about Rs 10 lakh damaged in the fire.
Police were investigating into the cause of the fire. This was the sixth fire incident in the area during the past two and a half years. The district administsration has announced a seven-day relief with temporary accomodation for the affected women, police said.
