Over 4.57 lakh women to receive Subhadra Yojana assistance by Jan 18: Dy CM Parida

Subhadra Yojana money will be credited to beneficiaries’ bank accounts by January 18, with more than 4.57 lakh women set to receive financial support under the scheme, Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced on Tuesday.

Subhadra Yojana money will be credited to beneficiaries’ bank accounts by January 18, with more than 4.57 lakh women set to receive financial support under the scheme, Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced on Tuesday. A total assistance of Rs 250 crore will be transferred in this phase.

According to the announcement, 4,57,681 women will receive Subhadra funds in the upcoming disbursement. Of them, 1,78,398 are newly included beneficiaries who will receive the first instalment of assistance. In addition, 2,55,265 women who were earlier excluded from the first and second instalments have now been brought under the scheme and will receive both instalments together.

The inclusion process has also covered beneficiaries whose grievances were examined and resolved. As part of the grievance redressal mechanism, 24,018 women have been added to the Subhadra Yojana beneficiary list.

Rs 250 Crore To Be Transferred

With all categories of beneficiaries taken together, the State government will credit a total of Rs 250 crore directly to the bank accounts of eligible women. Officials said the disbursement is aimed at ensuring that no eligible beneficiary is left out due to procedural or verification-related delays.

Deputy Chief Minister’s Statement

Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said, “Subhadra Yojana beneficiaries will receive the money by January 18, as Chief Minister Mohan Majhi had also stated. Around 4,57,000 new beneficiaries will receive the amount. Those beneficiaries whose two or three instalments were pending will have them cleared at once, while those who have been newly included will receive one instalment.”
